S3 on Nurburgring

I took my S3 round the Nurburgring last night in a time of 8 mins 22 secs. Not the greatest time mind but certainly a whole lot of fun. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yes.gif

I got it from Tesco for £29. Love it! Licences are a bit boring, got aclapped out old skyline. Will explore more soon. Feel a sick day coming along so I can get into it unhindered by silly things like work!

Excellent! Was looking for the S3 when I fired it up for the first time the other day. Was a bit gutted when I didn't see it.

Can't wait to get my logitech driving force pro wheel now. Should be pretty close to driving the real thing, lol!

Me too! Bought a aused PS2 of my brother's mate just for this game, then felt the need for the steering wheel. Especially after reading this month's EVO! Anyone read it? For those that haven't he spends the day trying to beat the real Nurburgring lap record, amusing pic of him sweating in the office!

Convinced me to buy all of the above!

Interesting fact about the game, they got a pro driver to do a lap of the "ring" and then a lap in the game (Skyline both times) and the lap times were consistently 1% different!

It took a lot of credits to buy my RS6's as they were only avalible on used wheel site. Had to buy a few other sets before they came up. And of course the suspension needed a tweak or two. Fantastic I am totally hooked. Any game where you can race your own car gets a big /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ok.gif from me.

The powerslides are wicked /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/woohoo.gif

a mate at work bought this game the other day, 'Game' have an offer on where you trade 4 old games and you can buy it for 99p. anyway 1 day later and he wants to cheat!!! I think he won't appreciate the game half as much as no doubt he will get the fastest cars available and win everything without proper racing! Therefore ending up like everything else he starts....dumped by the side!

anyhow to answer your question there are cheats available. not sure where on the net yet but you can buy publications for about £5 I think.

Best way to build up some cash is get an old banger with atleast 200BHP and go to special events, then do a trak call costadi something or another (second down on the list) and win both events you get a car worth 260,000 Cr. That should sort out the cash problem. So far I've bought myself a S3, RS6, M3GSL SL600, Aston Vanquish,. I wish that was my garage.

I'd be very, very surprised... The Gran Turismo series is the jewel in Sony's crown! Previous ones have been published by Sony Computer Entertainment, so I'd guess they own the rights.

A PS2 can be had for about £80 from Boots now, if you use a special 20% voucher /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif (so I believe, from MoneySavingExpert.com anyway)

GT4 will be release on the PSP, a freind of mine is a developer, and was testing GT4 on it over a month ago.

I captured the pics using a usb winPVR2 device, about £80-90. I'm trying to use my computer as a home entertainment thing. I also have some video clips, only not bin bothered to shrink them down for the web.

On another note, the differences between the S3 and the A3 3.2 are quite realistic in the game! Everything I moaned about the A3 when I drove it is in the game!
