My 3.2 is begining to get a bit noisy under the front, figured it was a loose union but it turns out to be a hole in the flexible pipe. Problem is both front flexibles and both cats are one part. All the exhaust guys I have been to say its main dealer part only and Audi want £1,100 and then I have to pay to fit it.

Went to see a custom exhaust fabricator to see if he could fix it bust he turned the business away because of how difficult it would be. He can't weld it in situ and to remove the exhaust form the manifolds is a nightmare.

Does anyone know anyone selling a second hand front section or where I could get one cheaper than Audi.

Not a Black 05 plate is it?

Mine had just started to cause issues before I traded it.

I went to a garage (high end specialist) and they said they wouldnt bother adding new flexi's in there as there is alot of work getting it right.

If you go on ed38 site someone was selling a near new Mk5 R32 exhaust! Might be worth getting as from Audi they have 2 cats in the downpipe and they retail at something like £1500 for part only.

No its a red 04. I've looked at a few R32 exhausts and they seem to be different. 2 peices (front pipes, flange and then seperate cats) rather than just the one I have including cats

I thought the MK5 was very similar if not the same...

I had mine replaced at a local exhaust centre and tbh it was a right pain! They used smaller ones than oem and they never fitted right. I ended up sourcing some from ebay and I supplied them back to the garage who then refitted them. All perfect now. Think it cost me about £270 plus the price of the other flexi's.

How's the BM Jonathon, you never did post any piccy's! Not missing the are you?

It's not actually that bad to remove from the manifold. The airbox comes out easy and then you can get in pretty well.

hi ..I need to replace both flexis on 3.2 Audi.........can anyone point me in the right direction?

listed price is 1025 USD so someone at your price is making a nice profit. Can't beat German engineering so stick with OEM
