thats a T3 flange.. i should have ordered a t25 manifold but hey ho...

Yeah ill be going underslung for now..

Have you test fitted the mani and turbo yet bud? Mine was very very tight on a GT28 comp housing and T25 flange hot side... the transfer box needed webbing to be removed to fit... anything larger than that and I reckon you may have a few problems...

Test fitting on an engine won't help you... you need to fit it to an engine with the gearbox and transfer box attached which seeing as yours is all out shouldn't be an issue...

<tuffty/>

We are building up bottom end with gearbox and haldex.. The compressor housing is same as your gt28 so i know ill have to do same mod as your did...

Better get the grinder out lol

Finally got my head back, been skimmed, valves been lapped in and the wee bit of welding which was needed..

Thanks again to Ian Howells for sorting me out

Post pic up in short while

Well i been so busy with my own work, that i havent had time to update my project..

I dropped off my Head to Andy on monday.. At this point my bottom end was done but nothing else.. Popped in again on weds, to which andy replied you seen your car???

Went over to ramp to find my engine all bolted together and engine now sat in the car.. They had issues just getting the turbo to fit but nothing a little grinding didnt sort..

Now its a case of sorting out a downpipe and making up the T.I.P.. I also dropped off a full set of O.E hoses to Roose motorsport for Paul to make up as he doesnt do a set for the s3/tt.. Needless to say he will be now..

Well as all my engine was in bits i took all my O.E hoses to Paul at Roosemotorsport in Lincoln to have made up as he doesnt do a kit for the S3/TT...

So he agreed as long as he could keep my old ones he would make me a full set of Coolant, boost and vacuum for a VERY good price..

Coolant

And Had the 2 Boost hoses done in white as all my engine is now black and thought it would break it up a lil..

that oil drain pipes going up hill and 90 degrees?
not ideal...

how much did you have to remove off the transfer box to accomodate the turbo?

It looks like its uphill from pic but far from it def pointing south lol

Had Pirtek pop in and make up the return pipe while on car.. had the pipe fabricated so it going round the transfer box.. As you will well know room is a major factor

As for turbo well lets just say its tight..

I`ll get some pics from top on monday..

I`ll give it to matt hes done a top job..

He used a centre section from a scooby front bumper and merged it into my s3 one.

I will have a load new pics up early next week...

Everything has now been fabricated now.. all the intake is done so just a case of bolting everything together and puttin the lump back in..

Andy noticed that the wiring to coil packs wasnt brill so after stripping it all back we noticed all the insulation had cracked so had it all rewired to be on safe side

Hoping to have the car up and running by next weekend..
