Anyone know??? I have the Audi keys and have released the changer. However it seems I have to take the airvents out?

Any help appreciated as I have a jammed CD.

Dont just pull it - there are release lugs either side of the vent accessable through the slats - I'll try and post an elsawin pic.

He has the keys for the changer - you need a special vag tool to release the air vent correctly - (its basically a hook with a handle on it)

No you don't, I have removed hundreds of Q7 CD changers, including my own and all you need are release keys and a good tug at it. If the heater vents get in the way, then gently pull them up with your fingers and the CD changer will slide out.

Thats not the correct way of removing and you risk snapping the lugs in the vent or bending the chrome trim as the vents overlap the cd changer by a good few mm with chrome trim - guess you dont follow the workshop guide and yours was ok...

correct, you need to properly remove the vent before you do this to avoid cracking the vent housing.

do you have elsawin photos/instructions on removing the silver speedo/nav bezel?

i would like to have mine painted with soft-touch but do not want to break it on removal.

i can only find instructions on a6, similar?
