Hi,
the two switches to open the boot/hatch aren't working on the car. I've got a new one but can't see how to get at them. I'm assuming that I need to remove the inner lining but can't spot any screws?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

There are two cross head screws in the aperture that acts as the inside handle on the boot lining. Remove them and then the panel will pull off - you might want to try and work your way round the panel with your fingers prying it off. Careful though I have heard of the panel breaking or cracking.

just make sure you lever the panel off with a big flat headed screw driver, you will be able to feel where the large metal plugs are that connect it to the boot

Hi Mike, I removed my boot panel a few weeks ago to repair my rear wash-wipe. As said above, first remove the 2 screws in the pull-handle. Then get your fingers between the trim and the boot and pull it away starting in the corner where the panel meets the other trim that goes up the sides of the rear screen. Work your way round form there. It's held on by big metal spring-clips so you have to pull strongly. I pulled with a steady force rather than tugging at it and all was fine.

I also have the same problem with my tailgate release microswitches. Do you have a part # please? Let me know how the fix goes!

Thanks all, I'll give it a go and report back.

I assume the part number will be in the bag somewhere, I'll post it when I find it.

Cheers
