Can anyone recommend a good alloy wheel refurb company in the Hull/Beverley area (East Yorks.) I kerbed an alloy recently :sadlike: and the local Audi garage did a cosmetic repair but the finish isn't very good (no lacquer applied) so the wheel is looking dull now. The wheel is a 5 spoke alloy on an A4 Avant S-Line SE.
Many thanks.

Sorry to jump on your thread, does anyone recommend a good alloy wheel refurb company around South Londor or Surrey?

Why not give it a shot yourself before paying someone else to do what is, not really a hard job!

Clean the alloy,
Fill her in using isometallic filler
Sand her down using 800-1200 grit sand paper
primer paint, colour, then clearcoat on top!

I did all 4 wheels on my audi a few weeks ago. Were 5 spoke silver audi 18's. Now black. They look lovely and once i've ruined em again and winters done, i'll do it all over again only taking more time on them and a little better. Practise makes perfect.

There are threads about on how to do this! If i can find them i'll link them tomorrow if your interested.

Google is your friend, my friend.

Fahim.

its funny you should recommend them, my friend just recommended them too he has a 1991 Saab 900 T16S Convertible Turbo.

Thanks for the PM's and replies.

I am tempted to go down to Lepsons although they are about an hour away from me, as they have been rated by a lot of people.

Has anyone used: Home - Wheel Doctor they would be convenient as they do a mobile repair service.
Although, I dont know how good a mobile repair would be?

I've heard good reports about these guys
The Wheel Specialist
in Garforth on the East side of Leeds. Never used them myself though.

Incidentally I can recommend Renowheel in Bridgend
Renowheel
They did a fantastic job on my badly kerbed MK5 Golf GTI wheels. £75 + vat per wheel iirc.

Have a look at http://www.wheelemin.co.uk/ - did all 4 wheels on my TT. Acid dripped, stripped and powder coated - none of this spray booth in the back of a transit carry on. Was SERIOUSLY impressed with the finish. As it is a tyre off refurb good opportunity to fit new rubber at no extra charge for fitting / balancing. Cost was £180 for 4 18" wheels & new tyres fitted and balanced!

Not used wheelmin myself but I hear they are good mind you they want to be the amount they charge I rang them for a quote to refinish my DTM`s and the price they quoted you would have thought I was buying new wheels !
My mate Gphilla is a wiz at refinishing wheels and has done an amazing job on 2 sets of wheels for me may possibley be worth sending him a PM to see if he would look after them for you he is in the Hull area.
