Hi guys,
Think I been screwed by Audi parts desk !

Can you tell me if rear spoiler p/n 8p3 807 521 a would fit a 55 plate a3 sportback as I have had one off Audi and sprayed as it has the removable panel for detach towbar !!

Help urgently and greatly appriciated !

Easy mate , and sadly no

First of all its a 3dr model (hence 8P3 ... ...) so it defo wont fit a sportback. Sportbacks have 8p4 codes for their part numbers. And the spoilers are completely different
as the 3dr has a cut out for the brake light, where the sportback gets a new one

Hmm... edit that , are you talking about the rear spoiler on the tailgate? Or the one on the bumper? You got me confused there

And i dont get any hits on ETKA with this part number

Yer I cant see it in etka and I am talkin about the lower part of the bumper with a cut out for the detachable towbar and I thought the same and it cost me 190 now am
Extreamly annoyed as I ask the guy behind the parts desk at Audi for a sport back one and when I got it I had no reason to
Doubt him what a mug don't know what to do
Now as don't have any spare cash to buy another !:(

Well, whether its a upper spoiler or a lower spoiler since it has a part number of 8p3 it wont fit your car!

So you better go to them again and argue :)

Did you give them a VIN number (your vin to be exact) to sort things out when you ordered?

If so, then its 100% the guys -behind the desk- fault

Go back on tuesday and slap it round his face then tell him he his lucky your not charging him for paint and time stripping car down for nothing

agreed with the above. you should still have statutory rights anyway. even tho it's sprayed you can argue you were unknowingly supplied the wrong part. if he doesn't agree take it up with trading standards and have a word with Audi UK.

Part no. you require assuming you have a twin tailpipe is :-

8P4 807 434 C

£80 in pimer or twice that painted in your colour.

Sorry you've been messed about - take it back and demand the correct replacement.
