Hi, I'm new to this forum, looks quite helpful from what I have read so far tho!

Just bought a 2005 B6 3.0tdi quattro avant, done about a hundred miles so far but have started to notice the clutch pedal clicks half way down. Can't remember it doing it when I picked it up??
It seems to click louder the quicker I press, if I press slow & smooth, no click?!

Any ideas before I get new car paranoia??

Many thanks,

Richard

Welcome to the forum Richard

Your's is a B7 chassis car for info - I would suspect that click is the safety cut out for the cruise control, and nothing to worry about.

B7? Not 100% but think it's the older shape, B6 but with the lesser powered 3.0 tdi as opposed to the 230 bhp in the B7.

I'm out of town at the mo, but will try to get some photos up at the weekend under a thread called 'to B6, or not to B6?'

So clicking nothing to worry about?

Richard

I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't think so.

They didn't offer the 3.0 TDi in the B6 chassis I don't think (I'm pretty ****** sure!)

Yes sorry, looks like mine is a B7. Done a bit of net surching & B7 introduced late 2004, mine was registered in jan 2005 & as you said 3l tdi not introduced into B6!

I'll get used to these audis eventually, honest.

After years of tvr ownership I'm not upto speed with new technology (traction control? What's that?)
