A4 Cab..small mark on roof

Hi
Just bought a car from an Audi dealership 2 weeks ago and was looking at the roof and have just noticed a line/mark/indentation around 2" long at the rear cente ...is this common? If I run my finger over the line I can feel it..but it seems exact centre at the rear (not in the middle of the roof more nearer the back of the car) to be just random. Is it an indentation like you get in leather seats that will eventually go ? Any ideas welcome.

i posted a thread on the B6 section thinking it only happens on the older cars and was told "they all do that sir" i have a 2007 S-line it has started to go between the rear window and the rear 1/4 window .

from what i have read once the car gets a couple of years old they all show creases and rubbing marks ( i have a red roof on mine it shows clearly now )

if anybody has any advice to stop it going worse please post here

..ta for replying although it doesn't look like a wear mark but more a kind of crease/indentation about 2" long. Thing is I've looked at other cab roofs and havent notoced the same mark.

I have a mark in exactly the same place on my 08 cabrio. I put my roof up and down all the time, and have rub marks in several places. It seems to happen to all the A4's afer a while. I guess making sure the roof is clean and perfectly dry before putting it down will help, but I'm not going to worry about it too much!

Got exactly the same mark on my 2006 cab. It's not a hole and doesn't seem to be getting any worse. There's a couple on the rear corners too. Went back to Audi dealer who had no idea what they are! He suggested I go to the private auto trimmer they use for repairs to see what they think...... nothing beats expertise.
