Flywheel Recall

Yep something I was also looking for. My cars definitely on the list, so I went to audi and told the service desk woman who pulled up my cars details and said theres no recall on the system, if there was anything they would know. Should i now call up Audi UK or what?!

What have others done? Anyone been successful?

Mines due to go to the dealers this saturday for an Inspection to see if it has the LUK or Sachs flywheel fitted, Audi said if it is the LUK one fitted it will be replaced as they are a known by them to be faulty, although Audi UK said they would pay between 50% to 100% of the cost due to the age and milage of the car (114,000). If it's the Sachs then its tuff shi* as Ill have to pay! After seeing this recall I contacted the dealer then Audi Customer services only to be told there is no recall, after some nagging they relented and admitted mine is due to be looked at, apparently there is a £90 fee for the inspection but as a "goodwill gesture" they are not going to charge me for this. The weird thing is since I contacted them about the problem the car has been driving fine...lol

Just my local Portadown Audi, I contacted Audi Uk after the dealer told me there was no recall and got onto Jeremy Hicks after Audi Uk told me there was no recall, so he got a rep to get it sorted for me!
