I have searched this site but haven't seen anyone thats got one of these FMIC kits on a s3..

Is there any reason for this or am i just not searching hard enough?

To small for the S3 IMO unless you run it inline with the SMIC like someone else has (S3 Dave ?)
Think how big the SMIC is & there are 2 of those (& they are ok just about on a standard S3), you need a cooler prob twice the size of that, esp if you plan on remapping the car.
You must have stumbled upon the stickies at the top with the AH, Forge & Ebay special intercoolers, you need something as large as them really.

Yes i have seen that one and it does look nice, although i wasnt too keen on cutting out the crash bar, and yes i do agree the top part of the cooler probably isnt getting that much air as it is hidden.

I was thinking the one on ebay would probably take up all, if not most, of the space available in the middle of the lower bumper therefore would do an ok job of cooling? if i took one SMIC off and left one on do you think that would be good enough for cooling without getting any lag?

The other thing i didnt want is to lose the fog lights, does anyone know if thats possible with this FMIC?

Thanks, Lee.

try the search button mate...
many have fitted many and different sorts and piping routes for a FMIC on a S3 while keeping the fogs
plenty of pictures too!

the turborevs kit is made for the A3 not the S3..... the S3 has a different pipe route as it comes with 2 smics as standard and has the throttle body at the opposite side...... so you could buy the turbo revs kit but not use any of the pipework which would make it pointless
