I'm taking this badge off but MIGHT leave the 'S' part as i think it makes the rear look less boring?

She has 118K on the clock...shed loads of stamps in the book...Full MOT and only cost me £1400 :)

One of the first things i have to do is sort the blocked drain holes in the top of the engine bay :tapedshut: other than that i want a Kamei grill and sort some nice cleaner/newer looking lights all around..oh and enjoy the 31 MPG i get cruising around town in 5th

dont you mean its a 2.4 mate? nice and clean though and yes get that S4 badge off lol for priviliged owners only!!!!! only joking mate. very clean example and for a bargain. well done.

Alan V6. Just need's to be lowered and it will look good. The S4 badge and the s-line badge's have to be bined as you will find that alot of member's on here are purest's

D'oh! 2.3! Yep of course i was meant to say 2.4 :(

Thanks for the warm welcome guys :) S4 badge has already come off but i think i'll keep ther Sline badges just to make it look a bit nicer? Definately needs to be lowred when funds allow. What's the best option? Just Eibach springs or change the whole set up? Don't want to lose the softness if you get me but could do with maybe an ARB

you can try uprated shocks and springs such as bilstein and eibach springs but the choice is yours mate, either just buy brand new shocks as yours have probably had alot of mileage through them and buy sport springs which will lower a little and firm it up a little which will make it handle better but you still keep the comfort you have already, my old man has the same car and its nice to get in it sometimes after being in my S4 which is really firm so you have a nice car mate.

Thanks Twiggy :)

I'll save up a bit i think and get new dampers and some Eibach springs i think :) S4 badge is now off the car too!

I'm a bit jealous of your working Driver Information Display... oh, except radio station, as yours is aftermarket...

Nice car mate.

Thanks Twiggy :)

lol glad the badge is off mate as it makes the back end look cleaner when its badgeless plus it was from the B6 S4 so you done the right thing, when you come to get the dampers and springs are you fittin yourself?

I doubt it mate! I'm pretty competent with the tools and always worked on all my cars but suspension scares me a bit lol I'm struggling to find any decent make kits for my car at the moment :( have i got hydraulic dampers on my car?? I've found a resevior in my engine bay.

Got a pic of the reservoir?

Eibach springs and Bilstein B6 dampers is a nice combo, but its pricey as your buying the bits seperate.

You can go for the Bilstein B12 or Koni SSK kits both of which will be excellent, and the Konis also offer adjustable damping which is nice.

Any reason you didnt buy a quattro model? Especially having come from a scooby!

Well it was a local car and i was sick to death of looking for a decent car for the money! Being finished up from work i only had £1500 max and the amount of dogs etc i seen was annoying the hell out of me.

I couldn't beleive it when i seen the ad :) Thanks for the kit advice mate!

... how on earth do you do that!?... I am getting 26mpg TOPS. I have even been driving like Miss Daisy lately!!! lol

As regards to your suspension question. I have 'Cheap' Jamex coilovers on my 2.4, and don't find them much stiffer than the origional suspension. but it is all personal preferance I suppose.

Nice looking car though! Glad you got rid of the S4 badge... bet she looks even better now. Get some Facelift lights and lower her, she'll look great!:)

Hi mate,

I've got 29 and 31 MPG on the trip the last 2 tanks and also worked it out by the gallon etc and got 30.I have been driving a lot slower than i would be usual becuase my wife is pregnant and i'm being a good boy now lol

Have you got some pics of yours lowered mate?? :) Also your front lights look awesome were did you get them?

They are facelift genuine a4 lights, easy to fit with minimal work...

wow, i'll bet you would get 40 mpg round town if it was lowered, just think of the aerodynamics.

Ah, that makes sence. I will have to drive even slower! mind you, a 3 mile trip to work and back probably doesn't help. She barely warms up:(

Yeh, there are a couple of pics, not too sure how much she is lowered though. They're adjustable. Would like to go lower, but offset on the wheels is a bit wide. They scrape when taking corners too harsh.

Well there's always one knob on any forum! I actually thought there wouldn't be one on here.

Thanks for that mate :)

For the record i've just done another proper MPG test and got 26 :( that's pretty much all around town though so not bad! Better than the 17 i was getting in the Scooby :D

I'll have to find some of those facelift lights! How little is minimal work mate?

there is abit of front wing cutting to do,behind where the indicator sits,so its not noticiable.you will see what needs trimming when you offer the light up.if you get the lights from a breakers, get the wiring plugs aswell,as they are different!

I'm not a knob, I'm a troll.

If you don't want to get silly comments then don't post lies.
