DTM versus 2.0T FSI Spec Ed Quattro

Hi folks,

I'm wondering about the DTM version of the A4 which I DIDN'T buy...

What does the DTM have that the spec ed doesn't? I can see they have Recaro seats... (mmmmm) and different wheels but are they the same under the skin? I've been loosely told that my 2.0T FSI spec ed has the engine from the new Golf GTI, with the bigger turbo from the new Cupra FR? And the suspension kit from the S4?

I was looking at coil-overs but began wondering if I'd be downgrading by taking out the S4(?) kit and replacing with aftermarket. Also are the brakes from the S4 also? I tried to dig out all the info from the web, but "specification" seems to point towards weight and height. Great eh? :ohmy:

why go the expense of coil overs when you jus need good lowering springs!
 
TOTALLY ignore what you've been told about the s-line SE. It has the same warm remap'd 2.0TFSI engine as the DTM and the same S-line suspension.
 
the tec guy from audi told me it has upgraded quattro suspension an ugraded sports chassi and upgraded barkes. he printed it all out and circuled the stuff mentioned. he said the SE and DTM are standard 2.0t's sent to quattro who strip the car down and rebuild it with the mentioned ugrades. he also said the first model TT that has the black roof was done the same..

Was the guy at Audi a salesman ? As he's talking bull. The TT Quattro Sport was again a mild re-mapped version of the BAM engine with the back seats removed, a strut brace across the back and parts of the 3.2 body kit. Now unless the guys at the Inglostadt Audi factory giving the tour I went on are wrong I'd discount what the tech guy from Audi was saying.
 
according to the official brochure i have just dug out the s-line has sports suspension but is not lowered? the dtm is lowered by 20mm with improved dynamic chassis

if some can tell me how to attach pages i have just scanned.

wheres he talkin bull btw?? from what you say it backs up what he said that the TT with black roof was modified by quattro like the dtm and SE.
