Sline DRL's

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that whilst in the car one of the DRL lights appears to be a slightly different colour that the other.

One is very crisp white, as it should be, and the other is not as bright and more yellow.
When I originally noticed this, it was a reflection on the car in object in front of me, never took a proper look out of the car.

I took a much closer look tonight and yes my initial thoughts are correct and this is the case.

Has anyone else noticed this or do you have any ideas?

It will be going in for an oil change in the next month so I will mention it then.

I've seen a few that seem to be brighter on one side, and then appear to flicker back to the same as the other!

Did you get it sorted or what did you do in the end? I have the same thing as you, maybe it's a very common thing?
 
Well, funny that...

Car was in yesterday for service - They handed me a 2 page document regarding this issue from Audi UK....

"it's normal" due to how they are manufacturer - Still unhappy as mine is very very very obvious.

Not sure what do next...

I have just returned back to yorkshire from Surrey tonight and met lots of Audi DRL's on my way, non of them were discoloured like mine...

Comments anyone??
 
Thanks for the info. So did you question them is it "normal" that lef tand right lights do not match in colour? Is this how Audi wants their cars to look??? Have you got pics of yours? Both DRL's only and xenons with drl's on.

Do you have a copy of the 2 pages? Maybe you could scan and post it up :)

I will scan this weekend - Annoyed about it and will follow up with Audi CS Again.....

Mine is so obvious, Yellow vs White !!!

Just attempted to take some pics - Not come out very well TBH

Any ideas how to best take them?
 
Not sure on the technique, I just took them in the day time... or in a garage which is dark. When you say it didn't come up well, do you mean both left and right led lights look the same colour?

Emailed Audi 2 weeks ago - Had a call from them confirming they would investigate... Nothing yet.

I will confirm back...
