Just noticed when i got home this evening that the revs are fluctuating on my 08 S3. It's booked in for a filters service on Tuesday, i'm thinking airfilter maybe...anyone know if it'd be ok to drive until tuesday or should i shake out the air filter myself?

dont think its related to your air filter at all.
my revs fluctuate at idle sometimes im pretty sure its EGR related as not all the time, but it happened straight after cambelt service so may be a coincidence or related to something the mechanic did, need to get my timing checked.

Possible coil pack issue?
I had to replace all four not so long ago on my 07 S3 - Audi/vag developed a new revision of the coil pack so I have the latest ones installed. No issues since.
