    A3 Rear Anti-Roll Bar Questions

Hi Benny, Thank you for letting me know - I would hate to splash out on something that wont fit! Looks like there is nothing matching exactly what I need, so I might just have to buy a new one. For a metal bar, they are certainly expensive! Thanks for the advise in regards to improving...

    A3 Rear Anti-Roll Bar Questions

Hi Guys! So, I heard some banging coming from the rear of my lovely A3 - so as the MOT was nearly up I took it in. Turns out, the rear Anti-Roll Bar has snapped in half! No idea how it happened, I don't think I'm a perfect driver - but surely I didn't rag it hard enough to snap the bar! :(...

Turbo Siren Noise (New Turbo Fitted)

Hi Guys, So, ever since I bought my lovely 2.0l TDI Audi A3 2005 I had the well known turbo siren noise. It was always there at low revs and dissipated when the revs got above 2kish. I had the car remapped and managed to drive it about 70 miles before I put my foot down and it screamed... and...

Hi All, Hope you're all well. I have only just gotten to the end of all this crap so I thought I might update you and hopefully help everyone out! The first thing to address was the idle shaking. Yeah, I can't address that! There doesn't seem to be a fix for it, the only thing that's been...

Hi Alex! That's crazy! It's exactly the same issue. The clutch will sometimes depress and release on its own when I am hovering on it. It will get stuck if I push it into first whilst coasting. Nobody has been able to find the issue so far! I have had a new master clutch cylinder, a new slave...

Hi Kevin, Thanks for the advise. When you say "not getting out of gear" do you mean the clutch is still engaged? That is indeed what is happening, but intermittently and with no obvious pattern.

Ah, really! That's really cool, often people just look at me funny if I mention either Fleetwood or Cleveleys. Thanks for the car praise! I'll be much happier when I know everything is sorted. You know how it is, when stuff just isn't working! Especially when it's my first one.

Thanks for that advise bud. I have been to see him again and apparently I have had a new slave cylinder so he has suggested it could be the master.. grr! I also brought up the temp issue to him and hes going to check it over for me next week. I will let you know what happens! Again, I really...

Hi there! Thanks for pointing out that missing info, its the 2.0l TDI :) I didn't want to hear that but I was fully expecting it! Guess I was hoping for some cost effective fix, not always the case though :)

Introductions to my very first Audi and I. Plus some interesting issues.

Good morning, I'm Dane, and just last week I bought my very first Audi! It's the 2005 A3 Sportback 2.0l TDI. Has 145,000 miles on the clock with a full service history, near flawless body condition also. And the Bose audio kit! I mention it in my profile, but I live in Blackpool (actually live...
