Are the sub and amp actually separate or is it all just one big plastic "active" lump? Could you just remove the sub section and use the amplified signal to power an aftermarket unit? What power rating is the OEM amp if so?

Using VAG-COM yesterday we read the MAF actual which stated it should be 210-350 mg/str, but was reading live at idle with the engine warm at around 550.
Is this to be expected?

My 2002 A6 1.9tdi 130 AWX avant returns just under 40mpg in mixed driving, but I feel this should be slightly higher. I do many steady motorway miles so would expect closer to 45ish. I know it's not a lot but it all adds up...!

If you really want to go for the 50 profiles you should buy and trial fit them. Worst comes to worst they will catch (immediately obvious) and you can order up a set of hub-centric 20mm spacers. Then you can update this thread and leave a definitive answer for someone searching in the future...
