    Anyone used vagcheck before?

    As the title says really, got a customers tt in that has been stage 2 remapped yet everything on the car is still totally standard. Surely this cannot be a stage 2??? On a do some vcds runs to see what it's got going on

    There should be a max and min mark on the side of the reservoir, if you have disconnected the caliper I would check its definately not leaking to be on the safe side :)

    I would check the fluid level and the sensor on the reservoir is working properly first

    Wouldn't the abs light be on if it was an abs prob? Have you checked the brake fluid level?

    Also when the thermostat is out you can feel the back of the water pump with your fingers to see if the impeller is intack and still connected to the pump :)

    Did you use a genuine thermostat? These engines are normally pretty good at self bleeding as long as the return pipes are not blocked at all

    Forget last post, stupid internet playing up :( I would take the part back to the shop saying its faulty and get another to try

    If the part isn't genuine then it could still be faulty, I would put the original back on to at least confirm the wiring is ok on cylinder 4 :)

    If its not a genuine part then it could be playing up, try the original again as it would confirm if the wiring is ok on cylinder 4

    It does sound like a faulty part, try putting the original part back on and see if the misfire moves back to cylinder 3. :)

    I have just replaced the rear sensor on mine with a genuine part, I have the part number at work and can post it tomorrow if ya want :)

    It's the ageing value of the cat and sensors that you need to look at as they tell you how old they are and if they are nearing the end of their life, rather than just the ok or not ok bit. the tickover bit sounds ok my car idles the same. But the vac doesnt sound right
