Someone told me I can get the egr valve to stay permanently shut in the remap, eliminating any need for blanking plate. Any truth in this?
Seems like a more reversible solution
Did you just delete it completely via remap or did you have have to insert a blanking plate also. Does the car still initiate a regen as required for the dpf
Nah turns out the electrical interface is complete corroded needs changed. Don't have the balls to take out the dpf, scared mot regs might change again and it's detected. Can the egr be bypassed without deleting the dpf or will this cause problems with regen.
2.0 TDi is just out on warranty by two weeks. Was driving fine then, all of a sudden the engine management light started flashing, followed by a stabilisation program fault alert and a parking brake fault alert. Then it went into limp home mode.
