    Tom5190's Dolphin S3 8P

Right so I'm back from the ring, the car was fine no problems to report. It was a good farewell to the car, I've had it up for sale for the last 2 weeks and its had a fair bit of intrest so far. No on-boards from this trip as i didnt take my go-pro. So since the last post I've changed the...

    Tom5190's Dolphin S3 8P

Cant believe its been that long since the last update on this. Basically not a lot has happened so here's a quick run down of some stuff. Nankang NS2R's - I'm onto my 3rd set of these, the tyres are brilliant, I've used them all year round even in the snow. They are noisy but as an all-round...

    Reyland - 2-piece 362mm Rotors

Quick question for all with a 2-piece 362mm setup. I've got the Vagbremtechnik/AP 2-piece kit on my S3, the discs are shot now so I'm looking to replace. Reyland make a rotor to replace the AP ones, they are significantly cheaper. I've spoken to Reyland who have told me that the downsides to...

    Offset & Tyre Advice

I run team dynamics 1.2: 18x8 ET45 with a 225/40 tyre. I'm around 30mm lower than standard height. The car is fine for general & fast road use, it doesn't rub. But it DOES rub on track. It rubs on the inner front arches just above the arch liner screw (I removed the screw when I fit the...

Cheers mate, I haven't I've left it at this height (below) I think its just because of how steep the roads were when I've stopped for the photos. DSC07498 by T.walker5190, on Flickr

So Le Mans was fine no problems on the trip.... sort of... which is always a bonus. I ripped my LCR splitter off while we were camping, which im not going to replace so the splitter has gone now. The car got pretty muddy!: DSC07568 by T.walker5190, on Flickr The car hit the 200,000 miles mark...

Exactly how that guide says. Basically just trim the ends down to suit how far forward you want it then attach it with self tappers. Couldn't be any easier! Just make sure you get the ends trimmed correctly. I did mine with the wheels off so I could attach it completely then trim the edges down...

Quite rough to be honest. I used some stainless self tapping screws and screwed it into the bottom of the bumper, there is a large flat section underneath.

I was really happy with them. I was engaging ABS quite a lot over the 9 laps I did with them. I don't think I could be any harsher on them at all they stood up to everything I gave them and I'm just using them on the road daily now. The stopping power from cold is only a little better than...

    Tom5190's Dolphin S3 8P

So its Le Mans next week, I wasn't supposed to be driving this year but there has been a change of plan last minute so I've done this for the trip over :) The white A4 is my dads too: DSC07537 by T.walker5190, on Flickr DSC07553 by T.walker5190, on Flickr DSC07558 by T.walker5190, on Flickr...

    Tom5190's Dolphin S3 8P

Had a change of plan with the car, I didn't keep it off the road again. Weather has been too good & the dates for Ring in August/September are looking pretty bad in terms of what's on each weekend. So I'm in limbo a bit with that at the minute, thought I may as well just drive it daily again and...

    KW v1 Coilovers HELP!

That's ok you should be fine then you can always just play around with the heights and find what suits you best anyways. 1st image below is were I've had to go to avoid rubbing on the road, which Is about 15mm higher than the previous post, and the second image is the height I had to use on...

    KW v1 Coilovers HELP!

No they don't, but with 225 profile tyres on TD wheels with et45 you will get rubbing at pretty much anything below standard height when you push it hard. This rubs: DSC07075 by T.walker5190, on Flickr
