I think yours doesn't because it's a 1.6 - my 1.8T did and that was a '97.
35.8mpg is pretty good for Winter Pete. I used to get that during the Summer and more like 32mpg during the Winter (all long runs).
I didn't find any difference between premium unleaded and super - when it was...
To be fair, the Bosch ones are pretty hardy. My A3 was on its second one when I got rid of the car at 102K miles.
Do bear in mind AMD have a vested interest in flogging you stuff!
If you noticed a huge difference between your Bosch valve and the aftermarket one I'd suggest your Bosch one...
Cheers guys!
Datsun, please! :)
No rattles yet (touch wood)! The old A3 rattled like a good'un - still after 100K miles I would expect no less. Thankfully doing far less miles these days so hopefully all the rattles on this one will be for the next owner to find!
After a lifetime of...
Well chaps, I probably won't be around very much any more as the A3 has been replaced by this:
A Datsun with a Renault engine!
And yes I know it's going to be a b*gger to keep clean.
Thanks to everyone for all the help I've received on this board - it made Audi ownership all the...
Show maybe, but you want the best suspension possible for a track car!
But yeah, I agree with what everyone else has said here, you may unfortunately get what you pay for. And it won't look so cheap if you end up binning them and starting again in a couple of months!
I noticed today in an advert in Track & Race Car that Superflex give a 3 year warranty on their poly bushes. Worth checking if Powerflex do the same? On the offchance you got some substandard ones?
BTW, check out the "before" and "after" on the Superflex website: http://www.superflex.co.uk/ :)
Off the top of my head I can't tell you, but when I needed some I went to GS & F and asked for PAS fluid for a '97 A3 and they sold me some suitable stuff (I hope! ;) - nah, it's been fine).
I think the seats in my car are rubbish. Unsupportive uncomfortable rubbish. I think I'm too slim for them.
A friend had a post-facelift TDI, and that had much better seats.
Hmmm... not sure really - I went for OEM replacements when my bushes needed replacing.
First things first: Is there actual play in the suspension or does it just look a bit worn? Or is it just the lip wearing because of the ride height?
If the car's really low you might be able to slow...
There are many threads about this on VWVortex, for example this one:

The problem is some of the joints on the A3/Golf suspension don't move in an axis that suits a poly bush. The one in the link (I presume this is the one you're having...
Is the end part of your old one metal? It looks like plastic in your photo.
I have no idea what mine looks like - presumably the same as yours - I had assumed it was the same as the one in the Neuspeed pic.
