Macs have 'hidden' files that are used by the OS. You can view them on a Mac but by default they're not displayed, however when viewing the contents on a Windows based system (like the MMI) it sees them. There are tools for removing them. I've yet to try but it'd on my todo list as it's a pain...

I got 2 years key insurance when I bought our used-approved car, covering loss, theft or damage - is that not a standard Audi inclusion?
