    Newbie saying hello

Well, I didn't get on with the A3 in the end. There's no doubting the quality of the car, nor the fantastic service received from Leeds Audi, but neither I nor my wife got on with the S-tronic box at all, and consequently we never really enjoyed driving the car. I've never felt so disconnected...

    Sd card - Creating playlists

Macs have 'hidden' files that are used by the OS. You can view them on a Mac but by default they're not displayed, however when viewing the contents on a Windows based system (like the MMI) it sees them. There are tools for removing them. I've yet to try but it'd on my todo list as it's a pain...

    automatic or manual!

Our 1.4COD S-line is our first auto (first Audi also). Having got over the novelty of the s-tronic box within a couple of months... yeah it's ok. Loved it on the test drive (enough to make the decision) but I'd go manual if I was to be buying again though to be honest

Who was it that said I'd never get 50mpg from the 1.4COD?

I can't even achieve that in efficiency mode, and I also have the issue that I fall asleep before reaching my destination, haha 2 months in to ownership, both my wife and I are a bit bored with the car. I've never felt so disconnected from the engine/road and the interior rattles more than my...

Who was it that said I'd never get 50mpg from the 1.4COD?

Having initially been disappointed with the indicated average 39mpg from our 1.4 COD, even when driving very sensibly (read ****** boring) I started logging it on fuelly.com to see how accurate the DIS was. Over the course of 3 fill-ups, I was delighted to see that we were actually getting...

Very very poor DAB radio reception

There's a postcode based coverage checker here that's supposed to show which stations you'll be able to receive: http://www.ukdigitalradio.com/coverage/postcodesearch/ And a guide to transmitter locations here: https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/dab

    Spot the difference...

Dealers are great ay? I recently had an insurance approved repairer (Ford dealership) supply a courtesy car with different plates on the front and rear of the car. Looked a little embarrassed when I told them, ha

    Audi A3 1.4TFSI 150 CoD S-Tronic- Drivers Thoughts

We recently bought our first Audi, which is also our first auto (A3 150 COD S-line). Only about 3 weeks in to ownership and so far so good as an everyday commuter/small family car. It's a lovely space to be in. Our previous car (123d) was a good allrounder - very good performance combined with...

What have you done to your 8V today?

Forgot (again) that it doesn't have a handbrake lever :whistle2:

    Plastic covers hanging off!

Been through any deepish water recently? There's a lot around and quite a few people drive through standing water a little too quickly, often resulting in plastics being ripped from clips etc

How low can I go with tyre pressures?

Maybe try driving an M Sport suspended BMW on runflat tyres for a week and then reviewing what's bearable :whistle2:

    Windscreen wiper issue

Pretty much standard to have to pay the insurance for a courtesy car these days, but yes, given that you're going to be without your own car due to a problem covered by warranty, it is disappointing. If you're test driving cars with a view to buying, they'll add you for free, but you generally...

    Snapped key

Just checked through my paperwork and the key insurance does appear to be part of the Audi Approved Used Car scheme, so new vehicles may not get the same

    Snapped key

I got 2 years key insurance when I bought our used-approved car, covering loss, theft or damage - is that not a standard Audi inclusion?
