  • Hi mate, The problem is that some of the dipstick tube sits inside the hole. I tried pulling it, prizing it, long nose pliers etc, but it just wouldnt come off. I ended up trying to carefully break the inside bits out with a screwdriver as best as i could, then sort of chiseled a crack down the outside to get the remains off. I know it sounds dodgy but it was the only way i could get it off. I think a couple of tiny bits went down the hole, but no problems. The thing is if your carefull you might end up with a tiny bit go down the hole, but nothing big enough to block anything. Also at the temperature of your oil, that tiny amount would just melt so i wouldnt worry. Sorry if this doesnt fill you with confidence but its all i know. Cant see a garage doin anything different to be honest coz its a nightmare to get too to start with. Hope this helps mate
