Well you claim that being QUALIFIED mechanic makes your opinion worth more and not purely speculation. And I'm suggesting you don't have all the facts and it IS speculation. Your concept of automotive engineering does not extend to actually understand what drives the design process.
Sure it...

Had to chip in here. I've worked as an design engineer for a premium brand OEM and sorry to shatter your illusions, but I've been in meetings with the maintenance/service department and the service interval was not set on the oil condition, but the air filter life. And basically the service...
Walk away. If you're not sure you've already answered your own question - as this will be the question someone will ask themself when you're trying to sell. There must be loads of black and silver ones out there to choose from.
I went to order mine expecting a 3 month wait last october, ended up getting it 6 days later!!! Which was great but a bit of a shock - sell my car, arrange finance, insurance etc...
Thought it might.:icon_thumright:
I have a 2WD as a courtesy car at the moment and it's just not the same. Unfortunately I think quattro has spoilt me now and it will be tough moving away from 4WD for my next car (tho' several years away yet), unless of course I buy another Audi
Didn't you do well - I got another A3 (slightly lower spec) I've just heard the estimated completion for my car is 30th May for just a new rear bumper assembly.
No special techniques required for road use.
Don't forget you still have the same number of brakes as everybody else, so if you go too quick into a corner quattro will not help.

Put it this way it takes a week for an engineers report on a split bumper cover after a low speed shunt.
Try phoning the bodyshop direct to get some feedback.
I've never had water get into the boot and I use every day, same as h5djr it always runs down the drainage channel - almost always the left one - so maybe it can be adjusted. I actually thought it was really clever that they managed to get the water to fall in the right place evertime; maybe I'm...
Exactly the same tyres on both (on the same route) - interestingly P-Zeros Rossos 18/225/40 which some people have said are a bit rubbish for traction. Maybe there are better tyres for FWD, as it's fine for 4WD. Although I'll probably go to GSD3 next anyway.
I'd have to qualify this with the...
Lava Grey is like a warm grey black - see my gallery - and has great golden highlight in strong sunshine. Not as hard to keep clean as black, but not as easy as mid-greys. It actually almost looks like black with a layer of shiny dust. I personally like it - as dolphin gery is a little flat.
