Depends what you call silly cheap rob. We originally wanted a 2-3 year old c max grand (petrol), when you do see them (rare as rocking horse...) they're ridiculous prices. We've had to swap to looking at nearly new zafira tourer, can be had for about 10k !

Boils my blood, just had MOT and it was a fail due to broken piston seal on calipers, garage wanted nearly £600 to replace it! Luckily had both front calipers replaced just ten months back so was replaced for free under warranty

Yup, the perils of owning an ahem, mature vehicle... every year a seed of doubt eats away for those few hours whilst we wait for that phone call. With all your cars been through it's only fair that you have a few good and trouble free years from it

Why are you thinking of changing it from standard? If it's for performance, I fear you'll be left underwhelmed.
