    Haldex oil everywhere...

    Think i may have fixed it tuffty.. there was no oil anywhere around the haldex,drain plug and controller were both dry all the oil was around the breather hose which is miles away..im thinking the breather was blocked,pressure built in the haldex and unblocked the breather by pushing the oil...

    Hi all.. changed the haldex oil for first time last weekend,pretty straight forward job apart from the mashed up drain plug and the earth strap that broke whilst i was "checking" to see if it were ok... anyhow,with the plug removed only approx 50ml of oil drained out,not the 250 i was expecting...

    Benjamins S2000 air filter mod.

    Has anyone fitted this on the s3 combined with the heat shield that bill supply's with his b5 tip? Ive just noticed the neck on my jetex has started to crack so will replace with one of these if theres enough room to keep the heatshield.. Phil

    Confusion over downpipe/decats

    Dont forget to include the fitting cost of the decat+downpipe as its not easy..i have easy decat only,easy to fit but does naff all imo..

    What spacers are you running?

    My genuine 18inch rstt's 8js are defo et33.. i run 20mm front to clear the 6pots and 25mm on the rear...et8 on the rear does sound exessive but its well inside the arches even with adjustable tie bars..the fronts are flush (just) phil..

    Best place to get these parts at a reasonable price.

    S3 bottom arms are twice the price of a3's because they are cast not pressed steel..replace the bushes as said,the rear ones that lay flat on the front arms are the ones that take most punishment...

    As tuffty says really..the decat alone doesnt really do much (mines not even that much louder) its just a ballache at mot time..to give you a rough idea i hav the same mods exactly + non res cat back and it reads a constant 271bhp on the liquid gauge (bam 225 though)..

    Could this be damaging the turbo then Bill?..your right about it stopping above 4/4.5krpm, i serviced the DV when i fitted the tip and all seemed ok (yellow spring) although i am going to refit the standard one just to rule it out...the map is a customcode stage 1 (jbs) and always been a bit all...

    Slightly off topic but, i'm also getting this mentioned "fluttering" sound from the 007p (or something in that area)but when the turbo's spooling,especially in high gears at low revs..seems worse after fitting badger5 tip and jetex but it did it on standard airbox aswell..any ideas anyone?
