sorted those pipes ben and now my car is spot on :)

I don't fill the tank unless it's a long journey....Keeps the weight down for my lightweight race S3....haha.

Okay, replaced the pipe and also noticed one f the soft rubber pipes branching off the metal intake pipe was split so just cut it back and refitted it. Took her out for a spin and **** ME!! This is more like it, pulls MUCH harder now :-) HAPPY DAYS

Ben the hose thats fubar'd on mine is as follows (dont have a pic unfortunately). on the left of the bay there is the metallic pipe (not sure of its name intake maybe?) this runs up the left and elbows right along the top of the engine then terminates into a rubber "elbow" hose type thing. this...

I've got similar characteristics to you, feels sluggish in higher gears (I have a thread "Should me S3 be faster) and I also get this loud sucking noise from the glove box, noticed the other day the turbo pipe(??) at the back of the engine bay that connects to the long steel pipe that runs on...

well...revive this thread :) Noticed that I do infact have a split in a pipe...it's the one at the back of the engine bay, it's an elbow. connects to the end of the long metallic pipe on the left hand side of the engine bay. I've purchased a forge silicone one off ebay thankfully. My question...

Can't remember how it worked mate, but I can honestly say I tried EVERYTHING else and nothing worked. Tried this, and actually got to I think the 4th step and being a numpty couldnt see any lights that were meant to flash (I was in the car so obv didnt see the parking lights haha) and I ignored...
