After all the issues, I finally have the Speedlines on! More details on my blog; Ryan-LDN | Something for Someone, Somewhere!: Finally, Speedlines Are On!
Try 2xcite - had no problems with their head and tail lights and also all resistors were built into the units.
I have a review on my blog; Ryan-LDN | Something for Someone, Somewhere!: New DRL Headlights!
All in all I think I paid around £90 for the window and boot trim. London prices are quite steep. I'm sure if I ventured out to the sticks, I could have got it done a lot cheaper.
Sorry to hear you've had bad experiences with the box Oddie, As stated it has made a difference with my gf's 1.4 TDI - but that's not to say that it would be as good with every application.
Give the company a buzz or email and report your findings and hopefully they'll replace the unit in case...
Well I fitted it on a VW Polo 1.4 TDI PD - and it's been on there for around 2 months. Instant increase in power and fuel economy; however it does spew out black smoke a little more than previous - but that could just be because my gf uses the cheapest diesel perhaps?
She's well happy with the...
lol You'll be aright mate.. The box is about the same size as a non digital HID ballast, so I'm sure there are a few threads on here with people who have had to mount their ballast somewhere in their engine bay!
The kit comes with loads of cable ties.. But I just wedged it right at the top...
That's cool, Yeah my gf's VW is a PD - and I found the plug near to the dip stick. Not sure it's going to be the same on the Audi though lol..
Have you decided where you'll be mounting the TDI Tuning box in your engine bay?
Methaman, I've had no problems at all with the clutch or any other mechanical parts since I have had it on the car.. Although before I had it serviced (full service + cam belt & water pump change), there was quite a bit of black smoke coming from the rear but after I got it back from the garage...
Davsa4, Yeah the lights are okay. I had problems taking pictures of them in the dark too but I think it's just the frequency at which the LED's are emitting that our cameras are struggling to capture. Lovely lights though; if I do say so myself lol
Davsa4, I got those same rear tail lights! Picked mine up from 2xcite a few months ago and sp far I've had no problems with them. LEDs are as bright as anything!
Got a few pics and a review on here: Ryan-LDN | Something for Someone, Somewhere!: Pictures! Audi A4 B7 LED Rear Lights From 2xcite
This was my first mod on my A4 TDI and I still enjoy the drive a year later! I'm still surprised I'm getting good fuel economy with the extra power on tap! Is it still 20% off RRP? I got mine at full price.. Gutted lol
I got my chrome window surrounds and boot trim wrapped in gloss black by Polimax in London. They did a good job and its still holding up well after having it on for 4 months in the sun, rain, and after numerous washes.
I know a few people who did it themselves and still did a good job with...
Oddie, I fitted the TDI Tuning box on my girlfriends VW.. Took a while to locate the plug I needed to unclip but I found their video on YouTube which helped a lot..
