I think the SE models had 16" as standard, Sport 17" and S Line 18" (Although upgrade options available on all models) This is a handy calculator for changing wheel / tyre sizes and keeping the overall dia as close as poss to the standard size (Helps speedo under / over reading problems)...

They are made by Pierburg, just the same as the genuine Audi part is.

I can't recall the exact fault codes that came up on my lad's but there where 3 of them, 2 of them refered to the IMF and the other to the fan. The Air Con "Econ" light was on and fuse F8 kept blowing, replaced the IMF cleared the faults and 2 months later just scanned it again and no faults...

I wouldn't waste your time taking it off and cleaning it, I have just replaced one on my lad's 2004 2.0 TDi Sport and when I opened it up to see what the problem was, some of the teeth had broken off the cog that operates the flap. This seems to be a common problem with cars around that year...

Don't know for sure, but the one I took off last week was. Also 2 or 3 teeth broken off the bottom of the white cog.
