Hi scoTTy, Prior to the B8 model, it was easy to retrofit an ISOFIX bar with as you stated a bolt in bar. This was changed for what ever reason on the B8, it is now welded to the chassis.

Hi NHN, Yes I fully removed the seat base cover to reveal the seat frame. There is 100% definitely no ISOFIX bar fitted.

Thanks so much for the information and it's actually no problem with the German, as I am an ex-pat living in Germany anyway. Just to confirm, are you saying that the isofix bars are there, but in effect inside the material? I will read the German post now.
