that's true Paul. There were some guys posting photos of their upgrades done on car's as well but I guess there are not many done on A8s

@RS4B5 there is a lot of torque indeed but I don't like the delay when starting, turbo lag I think. When I start from the stand still it takes a moment before car starts to move. It is like it needs some revs to get going. Then it gets a kick!

there was huge difference between 3.0 and 4.2tdi on A8 D3 bith on paper and real life. I was just surprised to se very small difference on paper for D4 hence my question for real life experiences here. Thanks for your thoughts, I will keep looking for 4.2tdi D4. I have one worry though, I can't...

I'm considering uograding my A8 D3 4.2tdi to A8 D4. Initially I was only looking at 4.2tdi but I found online that in real life acceleration of 3.0tdi is almost identical as 4.2tdi. Is that true? I know V8 is heavy but extra 100bhp and 250Nm of torque should give a visible difference.....I think.

I replaced rear lights on my 2006 (same as 2007) but in my case that was the lamp from the boot lid. I don't know if that can help in any way?

nice car but.....inside I think both Mercedes S class and BMW 7 series look much better. On top of that clown advertisement is a bad idea. It suggest that all non-Audi drivers are clowns.....tricky territory in my opinion.

@Gary 4.2tdi and 3.0tdi has almost same mpg but difference in ride is huge, believe me! It changed a bit in newer model D4 where they installed 8-speed gearbox and 3.0tdi become much more responsive.
