That's what I have done? I'm basically asking if anyone knows how a clutch pedal sensor can illuminate a the light for the EML? Surely that light is generally for emissions.

The first time I checked the codes stored, 16805 - Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold was the error stored along with 17947 ? 18010/P1602/005634 - Power Supply B+ Terminal 30: Voltage too Low I reset the codes and the EML went out and didn't come back for a few weeks, next...

That person selling the tool on ebay has really bumped the price up, the one I bought from him was £25 including £10 postage rip-off!

Just need to keep searching ebay or contact someone who is scrapping an A4 cabrio.

I still have no reset key to give that a go but am trying to track one down. I have plugged the diagnostics prog in today (trial version) and after clearing the codes, there is only one code that re-appears 1 Fault Found: 01997 - Convertible Top Locking Motor (V223) 011 - Open Circuit...

Well, get this, the part costs £110.11. Does anyone still think the dealer will be reasonably priced? Can anyone give me a bit more detailed description of the key, I.E. what end it has (allen, crosshead etc) and what sort of length the shaft (ooer) is? Thanks for any help :)

If anyone has one of these locking keys they want to sell, please let me know. My roof light on the dashboard started flashing whenever the car is started or I press the roof button, but no message in the display. I went to try the manual procedure but my key is missing from its home!? Thanks...

I was convinced the upper rad hose was on the right hand side of the engine, along with the header tank. The hose disappears to the lower part of the right-hand side of the block. I will have to check now two of you are saying the left :O Thanks for the help.

I've read on here that if any of the element strips are open circuit on the HRS, it can stop the aerial circuit from working? The three lower strips aren't clearing the screen, but I can see no damage to them...does anyone know if the demister strip are seperated into sets? Bit of a coincidence...

I have done a search, the diesel and the 1.8T come up time and again but no info for the 2.4? Am I right in thinking it's located on the engine block where the upper rad hose goes down to the engine? Hopefully not located behind the cambelt area like the 2.5 diesel version :s Thanks.
