What do you get from 5 litres? I need the car to be hasstle free. If my wife or Dad is driving it they will not be checking that. I'll be borrowing my Dad's jeep a lot more by the end of the summer for towing a track car and I'll be giving him my S3.

Yes engine will be healthy and the mapper is excellent. His Dyno is an honest one so maybe 280 might not be achieved. I want a good driver more than chasing figures anyway. Needing water meth for hybrids is seriously turning me off that route. The car is a daily and needs to be get in and drive.

lol, this is exactly where I am at the moment. Do I go with the few straight forward bolt ons or go for rods, hybrid, mani etc etc. What I've come to is Go for the bits that tuffty has mentioned and get to 280BHP OR change rods, turbo, mani, DP etc etc and go for well over 300.

Worth while to buy a new stat housing too. The plastic seems to warp or twist. When you put it back it's common to leak. First time I done it I had to double gasket to get a seal (was the weekend and couldn't get a housing). The dipstick tube is a must too, the plastic goes very brittle.

The exhaust mani, decat, downpipe yeah I can probably do that alright but the FMIC could have to wait. What's the outcome if only manifold is done? Too high a temp to tthe point of damage or just not extra power?
