110k Its a really strange sound...not the normal whistle of a turbo, almost like the noise when u blow over the top of an empty bottle? by a higher pitch.

Noticed today while driving into town.... On load at around 2600 to 3200rpm the Turbo sounds very load..I know the PD130's are quite whistly anyway but this is more of a coooo in he car? Any ideas? It is only under load Cheers Phil

Not always the case, if you look at the tyre tests theres quite a few "Budget" price tyres that perform better than Top price tyres. I had Kumho ku31's on my Golf Gti and they are very very good in wet and dry.

Could be the hazard switch, I think most of the wiring goes through it.

Silver 5 door 1.8T Quattro is the one I got the cheap bits off. Didn't look to see how much was left under the bonnet. Rear Diff etc...was there though, most of the interior etc.. I'm gonna pop back on Monday and pull it apart some more.

When it says "S3" only, is that due to the "Quattro" chassis? Want some for my TDi Quattro and not sure if I need just A3 ones or S3?

I managed to get one from a breakers today for about £2!!! I'm going back there on Monday as they have a few more A3's. If there's any working cup holders in them i'll grab them. ;)

ok..well I've found a bit more info and the OBD II bit should not result in it not scanning? Any ideas why it won't scan? Drivers are ok...serial port is ok..lead into car. Ignition is on. ??

Hi, Keep getting this error on my A3 Tdi? I've check the drivers are installed...and its also on the correct com port. When it scans it goes through everything the comes up "End Test" but with o results etc?? Then when doing the compatibility test it comes up with the above error? Any...

Sorry for nthe confusion. Stuff I bought today at the scrappy. £10 for the lot is what I paid!!! Might go down there tomorrow as they have a few A3's!
