    my A4 avant quattro

Totally agree on the Speedlines bud :) I bought a very cheap mk4 for the time being. However, I do miss this car quite a bit more than I thought I would. I'll probably be giving Jake a bell in 6-9 months time :meeting:

    Coolant problem. Leaking maybe?

Check the coolant flange which is at the rear of the engine, by the bulkhead. They are a fairly common point of failure due to the o-ring perishing over time. You'll probably be able to see where coolant's leaked and run down onto the gearbox casing. Hope it helps :)

    Hunter Wheel Alignment

This was my 'before' printout. I'd fitted the 45mm H&R springs and B5 perches a few weeks prior..

    Hunter Wheel Alignment

JDP, You're on lowering springs? This'll introduce a bit of negative camber. As long as your toe settings are now correct and within tolerance, you should see a heck of a lot less inner shoulder wear :)

    Offset question

Yes they will. Do you know the width and offset of the new wheels?

    2.0T with 200 or 220BHP

Craig, so are you saying your man says that there's only 1 common turbo on the entire B7 2.0t range? Looking at the QPEng link I posted above, BUL engines would appear to be K03, and S3's K04. I guess the only way to be sure is to compare the manufacturers part number of the turbo from both...

    1st mods

Couldn't agree more. S-Line springs were changed for H&R on my car and the ride quality was transformed for the better, as well as being lower!

    2.0T with 200 or 220BHP

That's good news if they do have a K03s :icon_thumright: be interesting to see what sort of power it'd map to compared to a K03. Is yours mapped bud? Mine's standard for now, feels quick-ish but not exactly earth-shattering haha. I'll definitely be taking a trip to R-Tech this year once my...

    2.0T with 200 or 220BHP

Interesting thread, this :icon_thumright: But, Are you sure this is correct bud? I'm sure BUL engines have a K03 also. The compression ratio's different to the other variants too if I remember right. Could do with Olly's input maybe, he's had his in bits enough times. edit: I have an early...

PCV replacement OEM or aftermarket Blank off?

I still haven't fitted my Saikou can, but bought and fitted a new OE valve, p/n 06F 129 101 N (replaced the original rev.C that was fitted). Engine code BUL, model year 2006.

1.8T Quattro Camshaft Adjuster Leaking oil

I have, the half-moon seal is quite a common point of leaking on these engines. I bought the tool and the seal kit when I had my mk4 but never got around to sorting it More info: Clicky

    Rear window condensation

No speculation here bud, my windows are pretty much spotless on the inside :) I'd say with new cars it'd be down to the fact that everything's, well, new! All the weather seals are new and unperished rubber, pollen filter will be clean, windscreen won't have been changed, sunroof drainage tubes...

    Rear window condensation

How does that work?? Normally, condensation forms from moisture on the coldest surface it can find. In a car's interior, this would be the glass. In the OP's case, there's definitely moisture contained within his car for this to be happening. That's not to say there's any kind of leak however; I...
