    s3 Wishbone questions?

A quick question - So there are a total of 4 bushes to replace on the front suspension (front and rear). Is it the same on the rear suspension?

    CV boot leaking

Thanks for the updates :-) So it doesn't look like too big a job with about an hours labour and inexpensive parts. Is it worth having the inner and outer done? I assume there is an inner and outer on the other side? I guess as the MOT said that only the inner was leaking I should only really...

    Aero Wipers

use of wiperblades.co.uk. I got some Bosch front Aero’s and they arrived very quickly for around £22. They look good and work well. They are really easy to install, it took me all of a minute :-)

    CV boot leaking

Hi All, My MOT just advised that my O/S/F inner cv boot was leaking grease. They said it could be a bit of a pig to fix so was wondering what the likely cost was? I guess it is mainly just labour. I'll call my local Audi garage to get an idea of cost but this isn't something I'd be looking for...

    small miss fire

Not sure about the miss fire but the symptom of a loss of power when boost is at max is usually a MAF. Try disconnecting and going for a run like jojo suggested and see if you get the same problem then connect back. Someone else might want to answer the following point as I don’t...

    Jubilee Clip Removal

A bit of preservation and it’ll come off. I replaced my N75 valve the other day and only had some rubbish cheap pliers which are now blunt. What I did was loosen the clip by working away at the strip which eventually prises open. I think a small flat head screwdriver would have...

    How much petrol left?

My picture of a yellow refill pump always comes on when there is 30 miles remaining. Generally I fill up before this so I don't know if it would actually give 30 miles after the light comes on. Oh and the constant beep every time you turn on forces you to the petrol pump :-)

    remap insurance?

Yes you do have to legally but an insurance company may only check if a loss adjuster is trying to get out of paying in the event of an accident. It would be difficult for an insurance company to prove that you had a remap or custom code unless they really wanted to. I would say...

    Faulty MAF

Hi all, I had a multi cylinder miss fire through the EML and was fixed with a replacement MAF – no more miss fire fault codes. I have noticed the hesitation that a lot of people have had and believe this is down to a faulty MAF (yes the new one that was replaced) The boost...

    Is this site ok?

I ordered an N75 valve on Monday about 3pm and it was here today (Tues morning). Top service, but I'm not sure how much cheaper it is than going direct to Audi...

    EML - multiple misfires

Deece, that does sound like it 'could' be the issue. I guess the boost pressure is greater in higher gears? So the n75, is that the recirculation valve? Fran, I've tried listening out and I can't really hear any popping sounds. If it were to misfire at this point (say it logged to vag-com)...

    EML - multiple misfires

Thanks once again Mike. The issue with 6th gear also happens in 5th as well now. Like you say it is as the turbo kicks in but I don't think it is turbo lag. You can hear/feel a rush of air that I haven't ever felt before, there is a shudder like the car kangaroos and then the power kicks in -...

    EML - multiple misfires

I haven't had the eml come on for almost a week now so hopefully the new MAF has fixed the misfire issue. I still have the 2 issues I described in an earlier post and they happen every time. Has anyone had these issues before and what could it be? Dodgy Turbo, coil packs etc? I have no idea...

    EML - multiple misfires

OK so I cleaned the MAF and then had it replaced today. The garage took it out for a test drive, found not fault codes and said it performed well. They also checked for air leaks etc. I have taken it on a test drive and in 4th gear around 4,000rpm + there's a strange jolt like you would get in...
