Thanks, used the cabin filter video which was perfect. I might be daft, but the engine layout for the 2.0TDI seems to be different from the 3.2 V6. Similar idea in that there are various screws to undo, but the filter housing's in a slightly different position.
I know it's a simple job, but I...
Hi guys
Does have a link to a step by step guide with photos for changing the air filter and pollen filter on a 2.0TDI 8P?
There are guides on here, but I prefer photos.
Let me know if you can help.
Cheers
So I took the car to a bodyshop for some advice and the guy sorted it for me. The rubber seal has a metal frame running through it so it was just a case of pulling it off the frame a bit and remoulding it. It snapped back fairly easily. It's not quite perfect, but it's pretty close.
I noticed...
Cool. I'll get a better pic uploaded tomorrow, just used that one to show what area of the seal I'm talking about. It seems fine water/wind wise, but it doesn't look right as it's not flush with the body.
Cheers
Hi all
I've noticed the outer door frame seal is coming away from the front driver's door on my A3 8P.
I've searched the forum but can only seem to find problems with leaky inner door seals. My problem is with seal on the outside that goes around the top half of the door frame.
It looks like...
FYI - my battery had somehow gone flat when it was in the garage. That had mucked up a few ECU settings. The guy who did the brake pads told me to take it to a main dealer and he'd pay for it. So I did.
Audi did a diagnostic and recalibrated the steering angle sensor and it's all perfect again...
Yeah, sounds like the lights have come on and he thought "sh1t" then checked it out to see what the problem was but he's denying any responsibility.
I can go and speak to him about it now I have a bit more info, but keep it coming guys if anyone knows anything else that might help...
The ABS sensor defo affects the ESP. The ESP light was on about a year ago and a new ABS sensor sorted it.
So do you reckon it's possible a rear ABS sensor could've been knocked/damaged which has set off the ESP light which in turn has also set off the steering wheel light? Could that then have...
That was my first thought, but he denied, which obviously he would. I don't understand why that would affect the steering wheel light though?
I want to get an idea of of what could've caused the problem so I can back up my argument without him fobbing me off. Should never have taken it to a...
Edinburgh.
The guy gave me two codes - 09F2 and 030A. I've googled them but no results. Not sure what scan he did, but find it hard to believe any garage would do a scan out the goodness of their heart for free.
Hi all
I got new rear brake pads fitted today and when I went to pick the car up I was told the ESP and steering wheel lights were showing on the dash. neither light was on when I dropped the car off and the guy told me it must be a dodgy steering angle sensor.
I didn't argue at the time, but...
Yeah, behind the panel on the left. Here's a couple of links to check...

Not sure about the older models to be honest. Mine's a 2006 S line.
Turn up the volume a bit and stick your head in the boot, if there's a sub there you'll here it on the left hand side.
