Recently lent my A4 to a friend. OEM Nav now reports and speaks in km's instead of miles. Nothing in the manual can anyone advise how to reset?

The 2.4 is a V6, 165 hp, that I am told is the unbored out version of the 2.8? I think it was only ever available in the EU and I have never seen a quattro version - which would have been sweet! My next post will probably be on how to uprate it as it is normally aspirated and just a little bit...

A4 off to the VAG.com God. Fault code reported - 01311 037 Information data bus faulty. Fault codes cleared sat nav back on line. About 30 secs to fix! May have been caused by loose wire to reciever that was discovered and fixed by existing owner [MRG] who had been playing around with it earlier...

Jeff, My 99' A4 Avant has just started with the bleeping thing! Intermittent occurence first occasion two weeks ago four bleeps from the back. Sounds like alarm resetting. I have a really helpful dealer so will get plugged into VAG.com or tap up his knowledge and let you know outcome. MRG

CD Rom drive noise from my centre console too! Thought it was the disk in the Sat Nav. Concur with fan noise staying on with climate off.
