That happened with mine. Minus the boot not closing issue. Sounds like the motor has gone on the wiper motor and its gone into service mode. I have seen other people that have had problems with the boot motor due to water from the washer jet getting into them. Hope thats not the case with you...

Been away just got back and remembered i have this head unit to sort. Andyam did you need any other adapter for the radio? thought i might as well save on postage if i do...does your radio work ok? The current radio connector is the standard audi one which looks like does the CTSAD003 cable...
