they dont just work with gen2, it is a wiring fault, 1) did you get audi logo on the ipod? 2) did you have a changer in your car b4? you have to have the changer port turnt on if you didnt have a changer, and audi have some off the kits wired up wrong where the small plug fits the black...

the audi kits have a problem where they are made and a lot of dealers dont know this i was lucky that i had a good audi tech work on my car for two hours, the problem is that the plug 'audi' wire up for you is wired incorrectly it has two wires in the wrong slots this causing it to do nothing...

i bought a audi kit ipod kit and coulnt get it to work i booked it in with audi and they sorted out f.o.c can you it 'adam and eve it' they told be that my head unit wasnt switched on for a changer (comon fault) and the second fault was the plug which is wired when the kit is made was wired...

is their something on vag software that turns the cd changer port on? or is it on at all times?

ive checked every thing twice over and nothing so 2m im going to speak to audi do you think you have to turn the connection on for the ipod/cd changer port to work?
