    I could not find any broken wires in the B Pillar. Door won't lock and window still out. One interesting tidbit. I had the door open and hit the unlock so all the other doors unlocked. I was poking around the B Pillar and the car relocked .... as if that door was not open.

    Thank you for your replies. It is the driver side rear door which we rarely use. I'll check some more inside that boot. The door didn't unlock one time last weekend but is working now. Window motor and light still out.

    Well, I disconnected the negative cable for 30 minutes and it appears the transmission rest itself. The shifting is smooth and deliberate. Thanks you all!

    Hi - never heard of adaptions. I'll ask my mechanic. The dealership wanted $1200 for the new fluid and my mechanic charged me $200 - they have worked on DSG before so I didn't ask them what $200 covered. Thanks!

    At 35K Mi dealer told me the DSG fluid/filter needed changing - $1200! My local shop did the same for $200 .... though I didn't get a loaner Q5 out of the deal ....

    rattle/ clanking noise from under car

    I had the same problem. Mechanic said it was the brake duct clip that broke ($18). Problem fixed.
