You don't need to make anything. It can be done via VCDS No plugs or cables or anything else needed. Just do a search on these forums. Has been covered before :thumbs up:

I was always led to believe that it will not fit on an A3 without modifications. The S3 is wider bodied than an A3 due to the flared arches. I'm not saying it won't fit at all, as I don't know 100% but I'm convinced it will need some alteration.
