update 4 years on, I have finally fitted this battery and coded it in!
Coding steps:
I used Carista on my phone, and the 'Battery registration' section under service.
As per their own instructions for non BEM coded batteries I changed only the final digit on the battery serial code, and updated...
This sounds like a worn aux belt to me also.
My crec engine started the same squeeking last year, just a belt showing signs of wear for me. Water test is a good one as already mentioned :) if you open the bonnet you can see the belts at the front, easy to look for shiny worn belts visually.

Thankfully I have a fall back offer which is still generous (one of those raffle companies).
If it was less of a last minute decision (we are viewing this house Saturday that is a bit over budget) I would book it in for the dewrap no doubt, put it closer to standard too and let it go at its own...

Just serviced this month, already had the gear box service early, all stamps are in the Audi Electronic database with print outs to evidence. gets a mid year oil change too outside the service schedule...

I prefer the wet sanding by hand too, followed by a good couple of passes with the rotary, then seal with CquartUK ceramic coating.
Recently tried the kits like you and thought they sucked in honesty and a waste of money.
What did you use to seal them and protect them from...
@AudiNutta judging by how the other shows are all being postponed/cancelled... I suspect this one may also follow suit, keeping my eyes and ears out for updates :)
