Hi Heisenberg
Are you able to help clear my airbag fault code? I removed the glovebox last weekend but didn't realise it'd cause the abs circuit to show a fault ,which now needs clearing for the airbag to work again.
I'm only in Wilmslow. Beer tokens available.....
Cheers
Nick
Hi folks
Our 2006 A4 B6 had developed a nasty habit of losing large patches of its lacquer from both front and rear bumpers. It's flaking off where water is getting under the lacquer throughout stonechips or scratches. I think the best solution is to find a professional body shop to flat back...
Cheers guys. That's what I feared. But you've come up with an awesome idea ESD1711! There is a code on the lock (035 from memory) so I'll take another closer look and see if I can get a key cut.
Thanks for all the replies, very much apprecieated!
Evening all
I'm usually lurking around on the S3 8P forum, but as we've had a new addition to the family in the shape of our new (well 06) a4 B7 Avant 2.0TFSI S Line so I'm lurking here too!
We got the car on Sunday from Chrome motors in Macclesfield, but unfortunately we didn't get the key to...
Thanks for all the info folks. It seems the Goodyears come highly recommended and so I've put a call into my local, usual tyre fitters. They can get the F1 Asy 2 in for £102 + VAT which I am happy with. So they'll be on the S3 by mid November.
Shame someone drove into my passenger side door...
Well, the front two tyres on the S3 are almost down to their wear bars (and the backs aren't too far off) so it looks like it is time to bite the bullet and get a set of new boots all round.
It's currently running on Kumho 225/40 ZR18 92Y on standard wheels.
What tyres do you recommend I...
Hi all
Some utter tool has reversed into my S3, leaving a few one inch scuffs on the leading edges of my fromt bumper. They are too deep to polish out so the hunt is on to find a paint repair specialist.
Luckily, someone witnessed the incident and the unco-ordinated idiot who managed to...
Brilliant thread!
God, I miss my red 1.8 16v.
It was an awesome little car, but like most other French hot hatches it was a buggar to keep on the road, Every time I took it to the garage it'd cost me £500 to £1000 to get it back on the road. I'd probably still have her as (an expensive)...
Morning
I've taken some photos of my paintwork this morning. It's not the cleanest car any more but you can still see the reflections with the orange peel on. TBH I don't think the paint looks too far off the image coreythorny posted..
Wow! That tutorial is immense!
I'll post some pics this weekend - not had access to the car this week.
I think that, instead of creating orange peel, I've just began noticing it because after the DA polishing I have been concentrating at looking at the reflections. It's probably been there all...
I ****** hope not mate!!
TBH i'd be really surprised if I did. I was being careful to not apply too much pressure with the DA.
I was using Meguirs 105 with the Juicy orange cutting pad, then finishing with Meguirs 205 and the black finishing pad. Added a layer of AG deep shine polish by hand...
Evening folks
I have bitten the bullet and had my first go with the Juicy DA that has been sat in the garage since winter.
The paint swirls have been greatly reduced, but I'm having trouble getting rid of and deeper scratches in the laquer.
But the scariest thing is that I can now see a small...
Morning Chaps
My S3 8P3 needed its first service under my ownership this week, - the dreaded (£££) cambelt change, plus a couple of fluid changes (brake and Haldex).
I did a bit of research on here about specialist in the North West/Cheshire and took a punt on visiting Votex in Congleton. I...
