A little more information on this, I managed to track down the garage that sold this car before the jump in miles. It was sold in March 2021 with 15k and then advertised for sale in Aug 21 with 45k. The 30k miles seems to been done between 4-5months. I have managed to get the service invoice...
Definitely, but I have no record or receipts of any of it being carried out. Effectively a gap in the service history, so if we assume worse case that it hasnt been, how put off should I be? The more I think about it the more put off I am, but otherwise the car ticks all the boxes so I am a...
Hi,
I've recently taken delivery of a A3 2.0Tdi Quattro S tronic. After being told full service history was evident for the car and now investigating a little deeper this doesnt look to be the case. There seems to be some conflciting information on service intervals but I'm just seeking for...
This may be a stupid question but here goes...
May I ask why have the master unit at all? I see you have a commit that only requires the interceptor unit and some kind of switch for the digital inputs to the Arduino, this sounds like the 'master' is only interfacing with the app. Seems a lot of...
Does anybody know where I can source the pins (male and female) for the plugs? I have the loom but the ends have been cut at the bulkhead.
Looking on eBay and the ones I think I need are listed at 7 quid for ten and only as either male or female  .
Hoping someone may know of somewhere...
Hi,
My Haldex isn't working. I have ran the output tests in VCDS and I cannot hear any difference with the pump on or off.
Now my question is before I order a pump - I am listening to this with my ear just by the rear passenger wheel (unable to get underneath when I had VCDS)
Is the pump...
No fluid loss and I can’t find any leaks (nor did the tester)
I made that guess too. The pump has been bled originally but there’s nothing to say more air isn’t trapped.
What I’m trying to work out is whether air trapped in the pump would make the pedal fall to the floor under normal driving...
Hi,
Currently got an issue with my brakes where even though the pedal is good and the brakes are good (just passed an MOT) occasionally the pedal will drop to the floor whilst driving.
This usually happens when not accelerating or just after lifting off.
Interestingly I've only got to touch...
Hi guys,
Looking to order up a kit to get my cam belt changed.
I have priced up parts from TPS and for a complete kit, plus damper and water pump its £215 inc VAT.
ECP do the INA kit and I can include a genuine pump from TPS for £160 inc VAT...
APU is a B5 A4 engine code. 1.8T with k03.
Similar to the later engines in the S3 and A3 that it has 20mm pins, ME7.5, wideband and VVT.
How suitable it is for an APY engine would be similar as transplanting an AMK or BAM into it I’d guess, providing it’s pointing the right way of course.
Use M12 threaded bar. Preferably something that’s a little stronger than normal galvanised bar as the threads strip easily.
I tried M8 galv and it didn’t do jack except strip the threads, bought some m12 high tensile for a few quid and it was a piece of cake!
They are the same that Euro car parts sell for £60 odd per disc. With the 50% discount they give regularly you have both for £60 you’ve saved a little more than that.
Car parts for less are doing them for just over £40 a disc so I’d guess if they were sold direct from Brembo then £45 for both...
Just a bit of advice on this one,
I have two AP rear shocks (from a coil over set up)
I’m struggling to work out if one is knackered, both are knackered or I’m being an idiot.
I presume these are oil filled as when I shake them I can hear oil splash around.
I can extend them both by hand...
Usually a blue/grey transit custom on a 64 plate but occasionally a grey T5 on a 13 plate.
I sometimes catch you when you’re leaving work or most of the time in the morning as you come out of Helston.
Hopefully I’ll be seeing you again soon!
