Yeah it's not every time and seem to be completely random. The only thing I have noticed is that it does it shortly after a drive and small break (5 mins tops).

It's the stock Audi Concert head unit

Hmm.. I wanted to test the speakers once more to see if any others were out and needed replacing and to my surprise the one that was not working, only issuing pops and crackles is now fully functional.... Any one have any idea what could be causing this?

Installed the new amp today. Turns out the passenger side door speaker has gone. Would it cause any damage to the new amp if I run the radio with the speaker out?

I took the amp out today and had a look inside. If a transistor has blown would there be any damage inside? All looks fine??

Better start saving..... 2.0tdi it is, may as well go for the 170. What could I get out of one with turbo, exhaust & remap mods?

I want to keep it as its spotless and want to work on modding it. Can you give any info on what I can do? (Names and details of turbos etc.) :)
