Looking for advice on purchasing an Audi S3

See my recent post on 18,000 mile service intervals - if you do get one which has been on the 18000 regime then get the oil flushed and go to yearly changes if you are planning on keeping the car.....

    A3 3.2 2005 - loss of tickover

Update on the A3; I've had the third oil change/flush. On this last change there was still carbon deposits in the oil filter, and the oil was grubby but not as bad as the last change. Looking in the oil filler car you could see the carbon deposits were beginning to flake off the various surfaces...

    A3 3.2 2005 - loss of tickover

Hi all Looks like the problem is now sorted (touch wood). I was directed by my garage to the Phirm in Hartley Wintney. I've got a lot of faith in the guy doing the work, but wondered if there were any pointers on the board. Another...

Morning all - I've been looking for info on a fault my A3 3.2 Quattro has developed, and the couple of threads I've found (Engine cut out, ECS and ESP light on) don't really give a definitive answer - alltogh I suspect there is no definitive answer! So, after driving about 15 miles my ESP light...

    Is this really normal?

Blue smoke means the engine is burning oil; while smoke usually means steam (i.e. the engine or exhaust has condensation in it and the heat is turning it into steam or if it goes on for a while the head gaskets gone and the engine is ingesting its own coolant...)

Just getting to know the car at the moment and already have a couple of queries which I'll post on the relevant page. I'm in Fleet, Hants and...
