    electronic speedo missing?

Did you not get a owners manual with it? You know that big book in the glove box that never gets read, open it up and I'm guessing there will be some info in there.

    Multitronic Problems - Big Problems!

There is no gearbox oil filter as such so there would be no replacement. There is however a pressure filter built into the oil cooler hose that goes up to the radiator. Even if there was swarf once it gets into the filter there i no way of it getting back into the gearbox anyway. Working in...

Remember the wastegate is controlled by vacuum on this car. You say 'pressure check' but was the guy checking it right? There is a union in the pipe just behind/above the rear the boost pipe at the back of the engine on the left hand side as you are looking at it. This can be separated there and...

Its built into the air mass meter but do the other checks I suggested and it should be better.

    Multitronic Problems - Big Problems!

The longer you leave it the worse it will get. You can only tell how long it has been going on by the extent of the judder. [As you know it doesn't happen overnight] Its not going to do any damage to the box its just uncomfortable to drive. Warranty companies don't like paying for things anyway...

    Multitronic Problems - Big Problems!

This is what is reqiured for this particular model. There are measured value blocks that can be read in the ECU to confirm the fault but this is what is required. 1. Input shaft to be repaired but there is no 7 plate mod for a car with this engine variant. The repair will be 6 clutches for 6...

Remove and clean the throttle body as it will be badly coked. Alos if fitted check the vacuum pipes to the secondary air valve as it can split.

    high pressure switch???

This car has a dual switch located behind the bumper grille on the drivers side. This fault will be logged it is not connected. If work to the front end has been carried out recently it can be left off by mistake. If it is connected lack of gas is the most likely cause. Check for leaks as...

    2.0TDI limp mode Please Help!

I think you'll find this is the problem. Check the rod on the wastegate for a partially seized rod. Test with a vacuum pump and make sure it moves form one end stop to another. The rod can sometimes be freed off by lubricating but will probably require a new one if unsuccessful.

    1.8t Misfire

The most likely fix is to replace the air mass meter. This is a very old common fault.

    cant open rear door

You'll find that the deadlock is stuck which is part of the lock mechanism/catch. Stand next to the car and give the door a good bang on the area where the latch unit is and at the same time operate the remote fob quickly locking and unlocking. [Check the other side as a reference point] If this...

Missing in idle - major issue please help

This engine had a problem with camshafts which were modified in later cars. This could be a possible avenue to follow for this engine. Either they used to crack and the lobe of the cam used to wear away, or the material was soft and again they used to wear. If the timing is ok, and the rest of...

    Audi Allroad Problem (HELP)

The ECU on this car is located behind the trims in the N/S/R. The trims will have to be stripped to access. But you'll probably find that the problem is with a leaking rear shock absorber. The rear shocks on these cars are oil filled and the front ones are gas filled. The oil ends up in the...
