mine is also doing this, it sounds like the wheel is rubbing on the cowling, but if you stick your head by the pedals its actually coming from down there. i think the joint just needs greasing.
Its time consuming, if you get stressed easily then i dont recommend it, aslong as your patient then its just a case of undoing things and putting them back. Doubt the barrier is standard, most probably as an extra i would have thought

Got one of mine off ebay, was brand new in the box, bought the second one from euro car parts. Remember though that you need the different headlight motors at £17 each and also the wiring plugs from audi.
agreed, petrol is defo quicker off the line as the power is progressive, where as on a diesel it all comes at once and spins the wheels. However my brother has a golf tdi 150 and it is only very marginally slower than mates golf 1.8t with revo remap from a rolling start. When he gets the tdi...
Its quite a lot deeper, i bought one, trial fitted it but had to sell it as i could not get over speed humps or on the MOT ramp with it. Shame as i loved it.
depends what tyres you have, just had my front tyres changed from toyos to khumos and the front s rub a tiny bit now. Mind you the front is rather low. The Khumo tyres have much wider side walls to protect the wheels from kerbing.
