Sounds like a scam, they send you a cheque for a larger amount which you have to send a payment back from quickly BUT if the cheque bounces then you've given him £3500. Not bad for sending a couple of e-mails (for the scammer) - if it sounds too good to be true guess what it probably is! I would...
